I really liked this book! i’d definitely recommend it for anyone who likes cute and easy romance books.

The Upside of Falling review

I never went through a phase where I read Wattpad and this is so interesting because now here I am, almost 21, giving a novel that originated from Wattpad a chance. I’m surprised I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I always have to remind myself when reading YA that there are some things that are very cringe but I have to ignore it.

I think the beginning could’ve been better. When we start reading the novel there is a lot of things that could’ve been clearer. Especially when it comes to how and why Becca and Brett start a relationship. As the novel progresses, we see Becca and Brett mature. Since we get both of their POVs, I appreciated how we get to see their individuality as well as their relationship progress.

I loved Becca’s maturity and that is mainly because she went through a lot with her parents divorce. While Brett has lived a very secure life, we see his lack of motional maturity. I loved how Becca was there for him and his family. Sometimes closure doesn’t require an explanation. We can forgive and forget. That was a beautiful message in this novel.

Before I end this review, I do want to talk about Light’s writing. There were so many great quotes in this novel I wish I could post in this review. While it did have a rough beginning, there was an amazing ending to this novel.
